BIOLOGY TEACHER

In anticipation of the opening of the IB Diploma Program, the Lab School Paris is recruiting a part-time teacher to handle the instruction of grades 9 (in preparation for the Brevet des collèges), grade 10, and grade for the IB DP year 1. A previous experience as an IB high school
teacher is essential.
The teacher will work as part of an international team of French and English speaking elementary school and middle school teachers, a collegial management team, and an administrative officer.

Your Role
In close collaboration with the management team, your main mission will be to ensure the implementation of the educational project of the Lab School Paris through the teaching of Biology to 9th, 10th, and 11th grades (3e, 2nde, 1ere IB).

Required Skills
➢ Qualified teacher with a good knowledge of the French curriculum (cycle 4 and lycée)
➢ Experience with the IB approach and the DP program is essential
➢ French-English bilingual speaker or an excellent command of both languages
➢ Taste for teamwork and interest in research and pedagogical innovation (cooperative pedagogies, flipped classroom, EdTech)
➢ Creativity, reactivity, initiative, openness
➢ Experience in the use of digital tools in the classroom
➢ Willingness to engage in a lifelong learning approach
➢ Remuneration according to profile
➢ Part-time position: approximately 270 hours of face to face lessons, which means 7.5 hours per week
